The ROBIN project

ROBIN is an Open Source mesh network project. It distributes a wired DSL internet connection throughout an apartment complex, neighborhood, village or school, and work on a variety of commonly available, low-cost Atheros AP51 Wi-Fi routers such as the Open-Mesh MR3201A, Meraki Mini, La Fonera, Ubiquiti LS/NS and many other devices.

All you need to do is to power-on the devices and connect at least one of these (called the Gateway Node) to a DSL uplink/router so that all others (Repeater Nodes) can share an internet connection via the open AP and the private (WPA-PSK protected) AP. (ROBIN creates two Wi-Fi Access Points using only one Wi-Fi radio).
